They are broken down into two categories. The high resolution fonts work well when engraving materials such as wood and acrylic. For materials that don’t engrave with as much detail, such as glass, the low resolution fonts are a better choice. High Resolution Fonts Low Resolution Fonts These are by no means all the fonts at our disposal. However, they do work well if matched with the right materials. You’ll notice that the low resolution fonts are typically heavier in order to be more clearly legible on materials such as glass. Size also plays a factor when choosing a font. If you’re using a delicate font, such as Iris for example, the engraving details will start to disappear if the font size is too small.
